Story by Kenzie,
Despite the heavy rain on Friday the track crew whipped the track in shape just in time for practice the new tiller they got seemed to make it work much better. Great weather never is a bad day and as much as many would wait to "find out if the track was good" they were surprise to see how it would work up. One of those nights where mother nature was being nice.
There has been some very strong development with the riders in the age groups and classes like Schoolboy, Super mini etc. Perfect example is Schoolboy class as it takes off the line,
Lucas Wood (27) pulls the hole shot with Landon Brandt (614) right on him in second! Just within their first lap around, Brandt comes up and steals the lead to put Wood in second now. With Wood holding second place now, he has Dane Miller (152) and Grant Robinson (426) hanging right there on him. Robinson starts taking insides to try and get around Miller but Miller is keeping his speed up to keep ahead. About third lap in Robinson made the pass around Miller to switch their places around. Pretty quickly Robinson gets right up next to Wood as they go over jump before straight away, as they land and head down straight away, Robinson pulls ahead then quickly makes another pass on Brandt to take the lead! As they make their way around the track for their last lap Wood comes around a few spots back which puts Miller up to third. Robinson gets the checkered to take the win while Brandt finishes with a second and Miller in third!
Jaiden Minneart (35) pulls the hole shot in the Womens Advanced class with Rylee Woods (610) and Mallie Arnold (99) following closely behind. Within the first lap around Woods came up and stole that lead from Minneart! With Minneart in second now, she had Arnold right up on her till beginning of second lap when Arnold made the pass to put herself up in second. Abygail Buettner (515) was closing in on Minneart now while Buettner had Sienna Hastings (179) hanging on her. As Woods and Arnold pull away from the rest of the class, things heat up between Minneart, Buettner, and Hastings. The three stay extremely close, trying to find a way to make some passes on once another. Checkered flag comes put for Woods as she takes a win with Arnold in second, Minneart in third, Buettner in fourth, and Hastings in fifth!
As the 85cc 9-13 takes off the line, Vincent Nilles (5) pulls the hole shot to take the lead while Karson Connolly (14) snatches up second and Alex Colcer (215) right behind him in third. A bit further back we see Braylon Wells (663) in fifth with both Chris Bahnik (122) and Wyatt Sandy (701) right on him. These kids race around the track in their groups, keeping things very intense. Connolly getting right on Nilles but Nilles is not backing down as he makes sure to keep his speed up! As Bahnik and Sandy are trying to make some passes, Wells is making sure to stay in that fifth place. Checkered flags comes up for Nilles to take the win, Connolly taking second, and Colcer in third! The other three keep their positions as they ran out of time to make some passes so Wells finishes with fifth, Bahnik in sixth and Sandy in seventh!
The gate drops for the Open C class, over 20 riders take off the line and head into those first couple corners, all of them trying to get as close up to the front as they can. Bryce Arnold (26) comes out of the corner to pull the hole shot with Charlie Sygnator (8) who is new to racing, grabbing second and Jacob Young (60) snatching up third. As the three are making their way around the track, they start to spread out from each other. Pretty quickly we see Ryan Adelmann (928) making all sorts of passes and starting to creep up on Young. Within the third lap, Adelmann makes the pass on Young to put himself in third. As Sygnator is still keeping steady, Adelmann is closing the gap in on him. Fourth lap in and 928 makes the pass on Sygnator to switch their places right around. One more lap left and 26 already has a pretty good gap on the rest of the class so Adelmann might not have enough time for any more passes. Checkered flag comes out as Arnold takes the win with Adelma taking second place and Sygnator finishing with a third!
Fair night is next they are actually having a carnival and of course all the different things to do at this years fair. Lately it's been just motosports type fair but this year a little more stuff to do! Don’t miss out on this (M11) Saturday night Aug 31st, as there are only a few rounds of Megacross races left! Labor day weekend is a great time to do some racing. Then either race some more or enjoy the time off doing all kinds of things!
