It was a dry weekend and a ton of water needed to be applied to make the Megacross track race ready and the crew did a great job flooding it prior to race time. Absolute beatiful weather for racing and with the sun going down much earlier now it is true night racing!

This race, Megacross tried a new thing out, an Electric class for Surrons and Starks! As these guys were out on the track they did not fail to give excellent entertainment! They honked their horns the whole time, yelling “woooo” as they raced around the track. They all came off the track with big smiles so I would say its safe to say it was a hit! When J Porter (600) came off the track he said “that was so much fun, I was just smiling the whole time”! Kyle White went out and bought a Stark Varg the Friday night before the race " I wanted this bike for a while and with this event it pushed me over the top to get it bought so I could race it tonight!".  The Ward boys played around on the Surron's as well, normally these machines are used to work in the events and laying out courses but tonight it was all about fun. The electric bikes seem to be a hit and will likely see more of them!

As the Schoolboy class takes off the line, Emmett Baker (309) takes the lead with Grant Robinson (426) snatching up second right on Baker! Dane Miller (152) gets in that third place spot kind of out by himself but out behind him is Gavin Hejda (17), Bryce Arnold (9) Blake Pearson (427), and Lucas Wood (27) in a group battling away. Second lap in and Arnold makes the pass around Hejda , once Arnold makes that pass he pulls away from the group! Pretty quickly after, Pearson makes a pass on Arnold as well to switch their places around. As we look back to the front, Baker is still keeping that lead with Robinson still holding onto him. About this time is when Pearson starts putting distance on Hejda and Wood, leaving them to battle it out! Hejda and Wood were headed into the “s” corners, Wood takes the inside hump of the first corner, as he went to go take the second inside hump, Hejda blocked him and took that hump and with quick thinking Wood took the outside but wasn’t able to make the pass on him. Last lap around, the two are going through corners tire to tire but time is running out for Wood to make a pass. Checkered flag is out for Baker to take the win, Robinson takes second with Miller keeping that third place spot. Arnold placed with a fourth, Pearson taking the fifth place and Hejda was able to hold Wood off to finish in sixth!

Vincent Binkowski (545)pulls the hole shot to take the lead in the 65 Open class. Vincent Nilles (5), Karson Connolly (14), Zachary Young (101), and Wesley White (260) all go down front straight away in a group! Pretty quickly, Nilles comes up and takes the lead putting Binkowski in second! As the group heads around for their second lap, Connolly makes a pass on Binkowski to being himself up to second and gets right on Nilles. The intense racing continues throughout the groups and as a couple more laps go by Connolly takes the chance and makes the pass on Nilles to take the lead! Once Connolly takes the lead he picks up some more speed while Nilles chases him and the two pull away from Binkowski and the rest. White continues to keep ahead of Young as the race was coming to an end. As Connolly is coming to the finish line, checkered flag comes out for him to take the win! Nilles takes a second, Binkowski finishes with a third while White keeps that fourth and Young in fifth!

Brayden Hagerman (63) takes off with the lead in the 14-24 race while Bryson Wells (926) snatches second place up with Cody Hardesty (185) right on him in third. About second lap in when they came back around, Hagerman was pretty far back while Hardesty was now in the lead! As Wells was holding onto second place, Hardesty was staying strong with the lead and made sure to finish with the win!

Lucas Wood (27) and Dane Miller (152) put on another intense battle in the Supermini class! The two raced around the track Wood keeping just ahead of Miller, everybody waiting to see if Miller will be able to make the pass or if Wood will hold him off! About end of third lap, the two were right before the finish line when Wood made a mistake which led Miller to make the pass! Miller held off Wood till the end of the race to finish with a second and Wood taking a third!

Last round of Megacross, Saturday the 28th is The Ch4se Pro-Am Challenge!! This race is also Double Megacross points along with Free T-Shirt Night! This is one you don’t want to miss out on! Hope to see you all there and can’t wait to watch some more fun competitive racing! The big question is "will Chase be there"?  The Answer will be known early Saturday morning as the weather might be good for our weekend but Florida is being hit with some really harse weather which might keep flights from flying out.  We hope they can make it! We will post up as soon as we know!
