"Not that long ago Megacross avoided "fair" races as they never seemed to work well.  Always to much going on and never able to just "focus" on the racing of the night," says promoter G Ward, but as the times have changed fair night has become a rider and family favorite.  Hosting this event for as long as i have been around it always has the kids running around with things to do and well little issues with pit bikes on a night like this as they we entertained!

Racing was great as it's been all season, in fact not to many missed their heats or mains while riding the ferris wheel! Kicking off with 50's Kamden Moore (95) takes the lead in the 50cc (4-8) class with Bryson Mejia (27) hanging right on him in second place. As the two race around the track. Moore is doing a good job of holding off Mejia, but once they get to the “s” corners  to finish their third lap around, Mejia takes the inside humps and makes the pass to take the lead! With Mejia in the lead, Moore is staying right with him in second still. As Mejia gets to the finish line, checkered flag comes out for Mejia to take the win and Moore to finish with a second!

As the 50+ class takes off the line, Burton Lavens (763) pulls the holeshot to take the lead while Troy Quest (18) and Anthony Bartemio (19) start a battle. As the two are racing around the track, Bartemio is hanging right on to Quest, trying to find anywhere where he could make the pass. They get down to the end of the fourth lap, they go into the corner before the finish line jump right next to each other, Quest takes outside, Bartemio takes inside hump and makes the pass! One lap left as Quest is staying right with Bartemio, pretty quickly that checkered flag is out, and Bartemio holds off Quest to finish with a third and Quest right behind him taking fourth place!

Gunnar Heikkila (630) takes the lead in the 250 B class while Timothy Hartfield (836), Austin Hanabarger (119), and Zachery Johnson (7) go down the front straight away all in a group! As they go through those corners after straight away, Hanabarger is already trying to make a pass to get around Hartfield but Hartfield is making sure to keep Hanabarger behind him. The three continue their battle, and as Hanabarger is taking the insides, he’s able to get right up by Hartfield but just can’t get that little bit to make a complete pass. Down to the fourth lap, Hartfield and Hanabarger go over the step up right next to each other, head into that corner right after and Hanabarger makes the pass! Pretty quickly after Hanabarger makes the pass, Johnson comes up and makes a pass on Hartfield too. Once the two get around Hartfield they are able to pull away. Checkered flag is out and Heikkila takes the win while Hanabarger finishes in second and Johnson in third with timothy Hartfield finishing in fourth!

Bryson Wells (926) had his first Megacross race back since his back injury and lined up for the 250 C race. As that gate drops, Wells comes off that line and pulls the hole shot to take the lead! Michael Ahlgren (71) grabs second while Max Chiado (64), Trevor Fritts (129), Charlie Sygnator (8), and James Coleman (917) start their race off in a tight close group. About third lap in, Ahlgren goes down in the corner right after the front straight away giving Chiado second place now. Just after that the group goes into the “s” corners while Fritts comes in a little too fast and rides over the berm bringing Sygnator up to third and Coleman up to fourth. Fritts doesn’t waste much time though, he gets right back behind Coleman and Sygnator. These guys continue very close, everybody waiting to see if they will mix things up once again before the checkered flag comes out! That flag is out as Wells takes the win! Chiado takes second, Sygnator in with a third, Coleman takes the fourth, and Fritts finishes with a fifth!

With only 2 Megacross events left they are 9-14 and the Ch4se Challenge on 9-28 it's been a very busy and fun season!  Bonus points I guess on the 14th and double Megacross points on the grand finale Ch4se Challenge event which always has the Free T-shirt to all riders as well!  Then we will all be focused on indoors and that series with some even bigger announcements to be told.  I will be right in the middle of this to cover it this fall!  KA.
