Megacross season is winding down quickly but the racing is getting as intense as it ever has been!  Tonight's racing was on point and some solid battles happening between experienced riders and even some brand new racers as well.  With no other racing this night many came out and banged some laps and had some very good results!

Luke MacNeil (219) grabbed the lead in the Schoolboy race with Brody Brewer (586) coming in right behind him. MacNeil is barely keeping ahead as Brewer is right on his tail trying to find his way to make a pass and take the lead. About their third lap in, Brewer is now so close they’re tire to tire with each other and as they head into the whoops, the two are right up next to each other. One mistake from either of them and it could change the whole race! As they are now headed into the back corners, MacNeil is still leading, Brewer takes inside of the corner and makes the pass to steal the lead! Down to the last couple laps, MacNeil still hangs on for a little bit but as they are making their way on their last lap, you can see MacNeil decided to back off a bit leaving Brewer to finish with a win and MacNeil placing in second!

From right off the start in the 65 Sr class there was already battling going on between Jesse James (812) and Wyatt Sandy (701). Sandy ended up pulling the hole shot to take the lead, he was able to lead for about half a lap till James made the pass to take the lead. Within the next couple laps we noticed James started putting some distance on Sandy and at the same time Max Soti (56) is sneaking his way up on Sandy. As James was pretty far ahead, Sandy was trying to make sure he could just stay ahead of Soti. The last couple of laps, the 65 Jr class was mixing their way up with them so it was giving both Sandy and Soti some more challenges. As the checkered flag comes out, Sandy keeps his second and Soti couldn’t get a pass so he took third.

In Open B, Tyler Spizzirri (143), Michael Aureden (18), Zachery Johnson (7), and Austin Hanabarger (119) came around all real close together on the first lap. The four were trying to find ways around each other and shortly into their second lap, Johnson did just that, he made a pass on Aureden to put himself in third right up on Spizzirri. It wasn’t long before Johnson made another pass and put himself ahead of Spizzirri and was now headed for the leader. By this time, Hanabarger also got around Aureden and was now on Spizzirri’s tail, while Skyler Williams (15) was also bringing himself into the battle. And just within the next lap he made passes around both Hanabarger and Spizzirri putting himself in third now. Down to the last lap and Hanabarger was still hanging onto Spizzirri, Spizzirri was taking all the insides to make sure he stayed ahead, he was not letting Hanabarger get passed him. Johnson wasn’t able to catch the leader so he finished with a second, Williams in third, Spizzirri in fourth, and Hanabarger in fifth. These four put on a pretty fun race to watch and definitely pushed each other!

As the 65 Open class took off, William Neill (111) was out in seventh with Tyller Bell (824) hanging onto him and Vincent Binkowski (545) following closely behind. Binkowski made his way around both Neill and Bell within the first couple laps, but as they were on the front side of the track Neill passed Binkowski back and put almost like a block between himself and Bell. Binkowksi wasn’t planning on staying there very long, right before the finish line in the same lap, he made a pass back on Neill. The battle still went on between Neill and Bell as they headed into their third. As they were headed around the track, Bell had gotten around Neill, but there was quite some distance now so Neill must have crashed or had some trouble. Neill still kept his spot behind Bell and didn’t let anyone else get around him. Binkowski finished in seventh, Bell in eighth, and Neill in ninth.

Logan Skaggs (997) and Nick Wallace (23) put on a battle for a bit in the 25+ A class, Skaggs was in the lead but Wallace was trying to get around Skaggs. There were many times where the two would get up right next to each other and bounce off one another. Wallace just couldn’t get enough to make a complete pass and Skaggs was not going to back off one bit. These two kept the battle going until about the third lap when he was headed in the whoops and Skaggs slid out completely which led Wallace to get ahead and get right up on RJ Mackenzie (352). Skaggs got up but didn’t finish the race so now the battling was between Wallace and Mackenzie. Onto the last lap, was Wallace going to have enough time to make the pass on Mackenzie? Wallace made the pass around Mackenzie to finish in second and Mackenzie in third.

In the Open C race, we saw at least 20 riders out there on the track at once, and we even had a few new racers out there with them! Charlie Sygnator (8/), Mike Bass (3/), and Clay Bass (9) all came out to try their first race. C. Bass and Sygnator headed off the starting line and started their race in the back of the pack. As time was going by, Sygnator was just out there picking guys off one by one and got himself up to about eighth place in the middle of the pack. With only a couple laps left, Sygnator was still working his way up when he was headed into the corner before the tower jump and wanted to make another pass, but ended up bumping the back tire of the guy in front of him which caused that guy to fall over and Sygnator following. Since it took them a little to get back up and going, Sygnator ended up having a couple more guys pass him back. He wasn’t able to make any more passes so he ended up finishing in 12th. C. Bass made a few passes as well to finish in 15th. These guys did very well for their first race ever!

Megacross so far has been hitting on all cylinders, weather has been pretty much ok but lately it's either hot, or just nice! 2 more events and these are normally the best it set for last!  Fair Night isn't your normal Megacross night as there is a Fair atmosphere going on!  Not to confuse this with a carnaville, but a good old fashion fair with pony rides, petty zoo, and all kinds of fair type vendors with food and more! Then at the end of Sept everyone antipates the 23 Challenge, once we know if Chase can make it we will post that up, but one thing for sure it will be some great racing, free T-shirt night and all the rest!  Mark your calendar's for Sept 30th!
